Knödel for peasants and servants. Put lots of black pepper and onions to it, cut these into one, put very hot butter onto it, then two or three eggs and parsley; add wheat flour, butter and grated bread rolls, you may also add a bread roll, this dough should be dense like the knödel from meat; while the water is boiling for the meat, put these in there, let it boil, and put the butter and the eggs in there, for it wouldn't be ready without it.
