LXIII - Fresh pike. Pour a spoonful of good vinegar over the pieces when they are raw and well cleaned. When the water with salt in it now is well boiled throw the fish into it. In the meantime take finely chopped swedes and seethe separately. Pour the salt water off the pikes when they are boiled and add some of the water the swedes have boiled in with the swedes (if you like, or without swedes with nutmeg flowers, ginger powder and a slice of butter.
