Yet another way to make ypocras. Take a stoop and a half pint of red wine. Then take a little of this wine and a little spring water. Boil with that an ounce and half an ounce of turnsole. Then take it from the fire and squeeze the turnsole out with the hands. Then you shall take seven ounces of skimmed honey and mix it in the warm wine with a spoon. Into this mix three ounces of cinnamon which is very good and pure. White pure ginger a drachm, cloves spikenard, prepared coriander each six grains; put this all together in your wine. Then pour it through the sack as before.
