To make holy water for pike. Prepare it and boil it. After that lay it in a dish. Then you shall take half a glass of rose water and just as much verjuice and a little ginger, a goodly amount of marjoram. Take also the liver of the pike. Set this to boil altogether. Then pass it through a strainer. Herein you shall put half a quarter [of a pound] to serve it on one dish. Set the pike on a charcoal fire to stew.
