Preparation of Musa'tar (a Dish Flavored With Thyme) of Eggplants. Take a pot and put in it three spoons of vinegar and one of murri naqî' with two of oil, pepper, coriander seed, cumin, thyme and rue; put on the fire and when it has boiled, put the eggplants in it and cook, after boiling the eggplants; then throw in eggs and leave to cool; serve cold, God willing.
