A Dish of Safarjaliyya, Good for the Stomach. Kill young chickens and clean and put in a pot, and put with them crushed garbanzos and cut-up onion and put on the fire, and fry until done. Squeeze pomegranate juice and quince juice and pour into the pot, and cover with bread crumbs, and sprinkle tabîkh raihani [literally, dishes made with basil] on it and ladle out and serve.
