The Source Recipe
The original text of the recipe is as follows:

A Dish Made with Khabîs. Take good, fat meat and put it in a pot with a whole onion and pepper. Dissolve some honey in water and cover the meat with it until it is excessively cooked. Break the khabîs and throw it in the pot and throw it in with some saffron, and when it is done, carry the pot from the fire and leave it until the fat departs, and do not make a dough (a covering) for it.
