Apple variety: Devonshire Quarrenden (England, 1678)

Notes:
Fruit: size medium, W51 x L32 mm; shape flat, rectangular, convex, sometimes ribbed on the body; skin pale greenish yellow, generally entirely covered with deep brownish red blush, greasy; flesh firm, crisp, white tinged green; flavor sweet, subacid season second-early. Ripens in August. Must be picked at exactly the right time as it ripens in the heat. Tree: medium size, upright-spreading. Produces spurs freely.
